Hidden Gardens, Hidden History

National Archive of Scotland garden

Taking an unusual route linking Edinburgh's Old and New Towns, guide Jane Corrie shares her knowledge of Edinburgh's historical gardens and their link with medicine. You'll find unexpected hidden gardens right in the city centre, hear stories of long-disappeared physic gardens, and gain an unusual insight into Edinburgh's history at the same time.

This tour has changed its name - in 2009, we offered it as 'Old Town, New Town'.

'Thank you so much for an excellent tour. I learnt a great deal about Edinburgh's hidden corners and green quiet places. Lovely...'  Jane, Edinburgh

'Thank you for a fascinating insight into Edinburgh's past. It's amazing how much is hidden on our doorsteps. I shall certainly be recommending Greenyonder tours to any visitors I have.'  Liz, Edinburgh
